How to install a flush, floor-level shower tray
A floor-level (recessed) fit is the most modern and accessible finish: no step, easy to clean and with a seamless, built-in look. These are the general steps. (We recommend professional installation.)
1. Prepare the space
Lower the screed as needed so the tray sits flush, allowing for the thickness of the tray (resin is slim, around 2.5–3 cm) and the fall towards the waste.
2. Connect the waste
Fit the free waste trap and check drainage before fixing anything in place. Keep the outlet accessible.
3. Level and bed in
Bed the tray on flexible tile adhesive, leaving a slight fall towards the waste so it drains well. Check the level in both directions.
4. Seal
Seal the perimeter with neutral anti-mould silicone. Let it cure before using the shower.
Advantages of a floor-level fit
- Step-free access (ideal for reduced mobility).
- A seamless look that flows with the bathroom floor.
- Easier cleaning.
