Class 3 (C3) anti-slip rating: what it is and why it matters in your shower
When buying a shower tray, hardly anyone asks about the single most important detail for safety: the anti-slip rating. Here we explain what class 3 (C3) is and why our entire range meets it.
The anti-slip classes (UNE-ENV 12633)
Slip resistance is measured and graded across three levels, based on the angle at which a person starts to slip:
- Class 1: dry areas. Not enough for a shower.
- Class 2: moderate moisture.
- Class 3 (C3): the highest, designed for wet areas such as shower trays and swimming pools.
Why C3 makes the difference
A beautiful tray that’s slippery is a hazard, especially for children and older people. Class 3 keeps its grip even with soap and water. That’s why it’s the standard at Aquatit: the Liso tray is the only completely smooth tray on the market that, while feeling perfectly smooth to the touch, still holds a C3 rating — the tray that doesn’t slip.
The Pizarra finish reinforces grip even further with its natural texture.
How to look after it
The C3 surface needs no special products. Clean it with water and a pH-neutral soap, and avoid bleach and abrasives, which over time can damage the finish.
